Chateau Tour des Gendres is run by the de Conti family, who have been making wine since the 80s in South West France. The plot is situated on an ancient Gallo-Roman villa, which they began working organically in the mid-90s. After starting to experiment with zero sulphur addition in 2007, they produced their first wines without any added sulphur in 2014 - including this Pet Nat.
The de Contis are dedicated to growing healthy grapes through biodiversity and natural practice, and it's obvious with the first sip. As featured on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, the Chenin and Sauvignon Blanc create a stunning balance of fruit, acidity and length, with moussey bubbles and a bone dry finish. This is excellent value for money, and a great introduction to more natural fizz.
