Cotes du Jura Savagnin La Pierre, Loreline Laborde
This is a notably elegant style of topped up Savagnin which shows its supreme versatility as a food wine. Aged in 3-5yo barrels this has zesty lime on the nose, there is a perfect play of fruit and acidity on the palate, with stewed lemons, menthol hint, spice and characteristic salinity and attractive bitters on the finish.
Loreline Laborde is an amazing young talented female winemaker that started making in Jura in 2010, with only 2 ha of vines. This wine showcases the richness of Savagnin, been fruit and mineral driven, ouille (topped up, no oxidation). The palate is has a lot of texture, its full bodied but well balanced. It is a MUST TRY wine, if you like wines from Jura or the french Alpes.
