Chateau Cambon, is run by Marie Lapierre, the wife of the Gamay Godfather Marcel Lapierre. She's crafting wine in the most natural way. Their commitment to showcasing terroir and preserving a refreshing essence makes this wine stand out. It transcends the notion of one-dimensional Beaujolais, it's best enjoyed slightly chilled. With mellow yet discernible tannins. Wild forest berry fruit with notes of earth, leather and even bacon. There is some lovely smokiness here, this red wine has depth and texture from the old Gamay vines.
