Crafted from a combination of Pinot Madeleine (the Maddie in the Nirvana-inspired name) and Pinot Noir, this dark sparkling rosé offers a burst of juicy red fruit flavours, complemented by subtle hints of spices and herbs. Grown on an estate dominated by clay and limestone for added minerality, it is grippy and bright: best enjoyed in the sunshine. The kind of wine that brings pure joy to the palate and leaves you wanting more.
The estate has been in the Klein family since 1805 and has been operating since as a winery since 862 - over a thousand years of winemaking history! Today, Jan Klein is at the helm of the state, and is continuing the family tradition with passion and innovation. In 2014, Jan began producing a range of wines with no added sulphites, and this range has now expanded to include nearly ten unique wines.
