Domaine Marc Colin, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'En Montceau'

1er Cru Burgundy made from 30-50 year old vines that showcases the true essence of the terroir. True to the Saint-Aubin spirit, it's bursting with aromas of citrus zest, white blossom, and pear, with subtle youthful reduction. It's medium to full-bodied, textured, and concentrated, offering exceptional tension at its core and a long, precise finish. The shift to smaller volumes and fewer new oak influences, with a preference for smaller 228-litre barrels, contributes to the wine's pure and precise nature. With the most delicate balance, it presents a harmonious palate, ripe with sophistication, and is capable of aging gracefully. 

Established in 1970 by Marc Colin, this Burgundy Domaine spans 26 appellations, including the renowned Saint-Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, and even features a cherished Montrachet. Today, Marc's children, Damien and Caroline, continue the legacy with a focus on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking. Their wines reflect a commitment to terroir, using lager barrels to improve freshness and reduce the need for sulphur usage, resulting in wines that echo the family's rich Burgundian heritage.
