Lighter than your standard Blaufränkisch, this is reminiscent of a young Nebbiolo with notes of rose and raspberry on the nose. On the palate there is a bright acidity and a low dose of tannin, due to only 4 days spent on the skins, with a fun sour cherry flavour. There's also a bit of a spritz to it upon opening. According to Judith: "It has to be enjoyed chilled".
The Judith Beck winery is based near lake Neusiedlersee, the warmest region of Austria for wine production, although Judith's vineyard sites tend to the cooler side, producing wines with more fresh fruit characteristic than you'd normally see from the region.
