Montevertine Le Pergole Torte
Le Pergole Torte is Montevertine's top cuvée. The wine is only made in the best vintages from vines planted in 1969-1999. This is just about the best Sangiovese you will ever taste. It's a hugely complex wine with great intensity and balance and plenty of red fruits, wooden characters, spice and leather. The acidity is high and tannins are fine and well incorporated. The wine is great for drinking now but it is likely to continue to improve for years to come.
