A field blend in the truest sense of the word: this is a mix of both Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer from a single vineyard in Waipara. Both grapes - white and red - coferment together with partial skin contact and are then aged in a mixture of oak, tank and amphora. The result is a fascinating light red: it's got the red fruit, crunchy tannins and slight earthy savouriness from the Pinot, with an extra splash of spice and lychee from the Gewürz.
